Choosing the right accountant

I am fortunate to have two great contacts in the accounting world - both originally from a firm I started to deal with back in 2001 / 2002 connected to Housemouse. I first spoke to Lynn Jeffries at a firm called Jackson Stephens accounting after attending a seminar that one of the Accountants David Cowen spoke at. I needed a speaker at my own events and David Cowen had such charisma that he made accounts sound sexy! Lynn Jeffries worked with David and became my main contact there, and I kept track of her because she understood my very unique style of investing and working.

I had many wild and crazy investment ideas including Joint Ventures, FURB's and much more, but somehow, with my scatty brain always seemed to take things too far and tip over! Lynn has been there for me during hard times, advising me on personal accounts, company accounts and bankruptcy - many many months before I finally cracked and had no choice but to go bankrupt.

I dealt with all my finances myself at the end, as I was too embarrased to have someone work for me knowing I could not pay.

In August 2006, 9 months after my Bankruptcy, Lynn got in touch with me as she found my new website and liked how I handled the bankruptsy, and the positive messages on the site.
