I have been renting property out for many years and have gone through many white ovens, plastic sinks, ceramic white hobs and microwaves! Believe me, sometimes after just a 6 month tenancy, if my tenants have not been very good at cooking - the white has gone brown. If they are smokers, then it goes yellow, and if they are clumsey - they are chipped and damaged. In the last few years I have turned to using only stainless steel appliances - this has saved me a small fortune. My property looks good all the time - stainless steel can not go yellow, the only thing I found was that is was prone to some scratching sometimes, but even with that you can buy a linen finish stainless steel that hides that.
